Health Education Professional - Lagos Mainland

Our company is currently looking for a qualified Health Education Professional.
The qualified candidate will help improve patient health outcomes by promoting healthy behaviors and supporting the recovery process.

Responsibilities:
Participate in health education training as appropriate
Provide health education visits, individual and/or group as appropriate, participate in outreach and health education activities as assigned
Implement and manage health education strategies, interventions and programs
Translate clinical language and concepts into clear, simple and understandable information for patients and clients to maximize the potential for them to take reasonable action
Assess patient and client needs for health education, including change readiness
Help develop, identify, implement and improve patient education material and other tools that encourage healthy decisions

Qualifications:
Completion of high school, supplemented by graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience required
Possession of CPR Certificate
Minimum 2 years experience in a health care setting strongly preferred
Basic understanding of primary and acute care
Basic knowledge of patient education principles; motivational interviewing a plus
The ability to work cooperatively with others in a team based healthcare setting
The ability to use good judgment in unusual and emergent situations
Ability to organize, prioritize and handle multiple tasks with attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality
Excellent work habits: punctual, reliable, cooperative, team player
