Human Resources Specialist - Lagos Island

Maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.
Maintain organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes
Prepare employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs
Manage staff payroll, maintain a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations (coordinating performance management); preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions, all of these in accordance with country’s laws
Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors
Conflict Management and Resolution.

Education and Skills Requirement
HR related degree and Certification is mandatory(ACIPM, SHRM etc)
Knowledge of Nigerian employment law, ability to analyze, interpret and explain employment law;
Highly skilled in performing human resource functions for personnel matters and impacting business decisions.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous assignments simultaneously;
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and internet applications;
Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of HR documents and other personal information
Strong analytical skills
Legal background/experience and work experience in an international company is an added advantage
