The HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
He/She oversees the entire HR function i.e. recruitment, onboarding, leave management, performance appraisal etc, for all employees within the geo-political zone under his/her supervision.
The HRBP serves as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues.
The successful HRBP will act as an employee champion and change agent.
The HRBP assesses and anticipates HR-related needs.
Communicating needs proactively with our HR department and business management, the HRBP seeks to develop integrated solutions.
The HRBP formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This position may include regional, national and international human resource responsibilities.
The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition.


Specific Responsibilities:
The candidate in his/her respective geo-political zone will:
Create, update and manage employee details on the HRMS and Payroll software system.
Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
Provide support to supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff.
Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place.
Provide support with writing job descriptions.
Provide support when conducting staff performance evaluations.
Coordinate staff induction and orientation program.
Monitor daily attendance and investigate and understand causes for staff absence.
Recommend solutions to resolve chronic attendance difficulties.
Provide advice and recommendations on disciplinary actions.
Monitor scheduled absences such as holidays or travel and coordinate actions to ensure the staff absence has been adequately covered off to ensure continuity of services.
Prepare notices and advertisements for vacant staff positions.
Schedule and organize interviews.
Participate in applicant interviews.
Conduct reference checks on possible candidates.
Prepare, develop and implement procedures and policies on staff recruitment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Competencies/Skills required:
Communication and Interpersonal relationship skills.
Attention to details.
Computer skills e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Basic understanding of HR processes and procedures.
Good knowledge of filing.
Ability to use the computer system.
Use of basic HRIS
Good organisational skills
Good analytical skills
Flexibility and Personal Initiative
Good Administrative skills.
Willingness to work on weekends and travel long distance where and when required.

Qualification and Experience:
Minimum of B.Sc./HND in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business Management or related field.
2-4 years relevant work experience in Human Resources.
Applicant must be between 24yrs-32yrs of age.
CIPM certification will be an added advantage.
