Clinical Laboratory Officer - Lagos Island

Employee performs phlebotomy and routine tests in a medical laboratory and maintains records.
Duties of the Job:
*1. Performs phlebotomy and processing of specimens to be sent to outside labs.
*2. Plants routine microbiology specimens.
*3. Performs routine tests and some specialized tests as ordered by medical professionals.
*4. Maintains quality control of specimen samples.
*5. Operates standard laboratory equipment and some specialized equipment.
*6. Reviews and processes orders for laboratory procedures for patients.
*7. Records testing information and files laboratory reports.
*8. Inventories and orders laboratory and office supplies.
*9. Communicates patient and laboratory information.
*10. Cleans and restocks laboratory facility.
*11. Maintains a safe environment in the laboratory.
*12. Supervises student or temporary employees during a minor portion of the employee's work
time.
13. Assists in writing descriptions of routines necessary to perform tests.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION :
A minimum in B.sc or HND in any related field.
