Objectives

Implement the Aims and Policies of the school and reaffirm them regularly.
Ensure that teachers are clear about the teaching objectives in lessons, provide guidance on the choice of appropriate teaching and learning methods, and after evaluation of the teaching take action to improve if necessary.
Ensure that all student have access to appropriate material through a range of resources and teaching strategies, including Gifted and Talented Support the development of students’ literacy, numeracy and information communication technology skills through the subject where relevant.
Support the establishment of high expectations and ensure that clear targets are set for student achievement including for those with special educational needs and the more able to manage revision session.
Manage coursework catch-up sessions.
The English Coordinator reports to the Principal of the School and the Director General and will be responsible for the planning, implementation and ongoing adaptation of the English program.

Candidate Requirements

Skills and Qualification

B.SC/NCE in English language or relevant courses
Teaching Diploma.
Experience in teaching Nigeria curricula.
Fluency in English
English Department Head experience
